UPDATED: British climber Andy Parkin has soloed the first ascent of the North Face of Dingjung Ri (6,249m). It is also thought this is the first winter ascent of the mountain.

Dingjung Ri is located in the Rolwaling Himal, Nepal.

Parkin, who was robbed and attacked by rocks at his base camp, scared off his attacker and went on to climb a line of neve that runs up the left of the north face. He reached the summit on the 17th of January.

It was originally stated that Parkin had climbed Singkar. This was in fact an error.
