There is close, and there is close, and then there is ridiculously close.
Paul Robinson has now come even closer than that to repeating Dave Graham's The story of two worlds, 8C+, at Cresciano, Switzerland. Some would even argue he has already done it.
The only thing that went wrong on the otherwise perfect attempt, was he touched a tree slightly while swinging out on what he describes as a "6C move". I've seen the footage and there's no doubt in my mind he would have had no problem doing the move, tree or not, but unfortunately this doesn't matter. A dab is a dab... and as Paul so eloquently put it: "Damn tree."
