The first round of the British Bouldering Competition was held at the Kendal Wall on Sunday. Lucinda Hughes took first place in the women's event, with Abigail May and Rebecca Seymore coming second and third. The men's final saw quite an upset with Malcolm Smith making a technical error on one of the more straightforward finals problems. Gareth Parry was ecstatic to flash all 5 final problems in his characteristic focused and controlled style to take first place.
