Indoor Dry Tooling Competition

The world's first indoor dry tooling event will take place at Glasgow Climbing Centre on Saturday 8 March 2003.

There are two categories for competitors, 'Pro Team' (for sponsored climbers) and 'General Climbing Community' (for punters). You must enter in teams of 3 climbers at a cost of £135 (Pro team) and £90 (punters).

There will be a mix of top rope and boulder problems. Prizes are unconfirmed but will include substantial cash, boots, tools and jackets from sponsors Scarpa, Grivel and Mountain Equipment.

Eddie is very much aware of the issues. The fact that certain people don't agree with his philosophy isn't his problem. Anyway, last time I checked, dinosaurs were extinct.

Has it occurred to you that the comp is in the Glasgow climbing centre, last time I checked - indoors!!! No one's talking about going outdoors & dri tooling in its purest form. It does have a purpose though when it comes to the unique scottish mixed climbing. Cheers

Everyday 7.30am, unles I've had some the day before. a fine reposte every time I recall a winter climbing tale to my non climbing friends Iam but when the weather is crap as often as it is this will be another thing to talk about and look forward to. IT'S ONLY A BIT OF FUN ho, ho, ho!
