The world class sport climbing traveling show has now settled in Catalunya, Spain, for a couple of months, and already some noteworthy ascents have been made.
In the Santa Linya cave, Norway's Hannah Midtbø improved on her last season's best by repeating La Novena Puerta, 8c+, while Japanese, Akito Matsushima managed to do Open your mind direct, 9a.
Further south, at Siurana, World Cup Lead champion Sachi Amma made relatively quick work of Ramonet's classic La Rambla, 9a+, proving that last year's ascents of Papichulo and Pachamama were not dumb luck (as if anyone would have any thought in that direction...).
Sachi will hang around for a while, so hopefully we'll hear more about what he's up to soon.
Soon, Adam Ondra will arrive on the scene too to get back on the La dura, dura-project at Oliana. Thats not all he will try of course and, as always, he will probably amaze us again.
I'm sorry by the way for the lack of updates lately. The La Sportiva Legends Only event has taken a lot of time and energy.
