Niky says that he is very happy about this first ascent:

The Ghost ship is a line situated in Champorcher, a place in Aosta valley which counts about 90 lines in total and I think it could be worth a visit if someone would pass close this Valley.

I saw this project the first time I was in Champorcher, and it was my goal for this year. The line is on a big boulder and the sequence is really pure. It has really cool features like slopy crimps, some toe hooks and every hold was really important for my beta since without one of them it would have been probably impossible for my abilities.

Personally, I consider this one as one of my favourite FA and probably it could be one of my hardest. I want to say thanks to some friends since they helped to try the single moves every session I did.

Earlier this year, Niky has really made a name for himself, with ascents of several 8B's and 8B+'s in Italy, Switzerland and Sweden.

Looks like an awesome piece of boulder. Also the look on the spotters face is priceless.
