The world's most famous set of waterfalls; Niagara Falls have frozen in the recent freezing Polar Vortex that has hit the USA. Niagara Falls border Canada and the USA between the province of Ontario and the state of New York.
In this ITN video below we can see that the huge falls have not completely frozen, but there is substantial ice build up on the edges of the falls. Enough to climb? Maybe.
The last recorded freezing of the falls was back in 1848, this is a rare occurance. Will we see a new ice climb on Niagara falls this week?
