A director of Scotland's largest outdoor retailer and son of its founder has died in an accident in the Ben Starav area.
Fifty year old Donald Tiso died on Friday when out walking with a companion, taking a fall on steep ground near the bealach between Ben Starav and Beinn nan Aighenan, above Glen Kinglass.
Oban MRT were called out at 1:00am on Saturday morning to assist, but stood down en route when conditions proved clear enough for a helicopter. He was flown to the Belford Hospital in Fort William but pronounced dead on arrival.
Donald Tiso was the son of Graham, who founded the Tiso chain in 1962.
