The classic Hard Severe, Terrier's Tooth, at Chair Ladder in West Penwith, Cornwall has been damaged by the brutal storms the UK experienced during the winter. Both the starting ledge and the first pitch has fallen down though it is rumoured to still be climbable.
Local climber Stu Bradbury commented on the Chair Ladder Logbooks page the following:
"TERRIERS TOOTH ROCK FALL... Pitch 1 of Terrier's Tooth has been taken by the sea! Both starts and the ledge which was the 1st belay stance have now gone leaving a slab of smooth granite and some loose rock, it is climbable but a a different grade and with less gear."
So if Terrier's Tooth was on your hitlist for the year it might be worth waiting until the first pitch is re-climbed before you commit yourself to the route. If anyone has anymore information on this please post it on the thread below.
