Ghisolfi vs Tetto di SarreVideo

Tetto di Sarre (The Sarre roof) is one of Italy's most iconic and historically significant crags. Situated in the beautiful Aosta valley, overlooking a railway and the heavily trafficked A5 Motorway, it's home to some of the hardest routes in the country.

The whole crag is very steep and filled with pockets. I haven't actually been there myself, but if rumours are to be believed, a few holds on the crag are in fact natural. See if you can spot any of those in this video where Stefano Ghisolfi, Italy's #1 lead competition climber does Alberto Gnerro's L'Avaro, 8c+, and Ground zero, 9a, the former of which was onsighted by Adam Ondra three years ago.

Ground zero was Stefano's first of the grade. Since then he has climbed four more and even a 9a+.

Here is the video and, unless you understand Italian, I suggest you skip to ~7:25 when the climbing on Ground zero begins.

Stefano Ghisolf is sponsored by: CAMP, E9 and Five Ten
