Over the last three weekends, the Lead World Cup has taken place in Korea, China and Japan in the cities of Mokpo, Wujiang and Inzai. Some surprising results saw habitual podium finishers fail to make finals in what was a very intense period of the competition calendar.

In Mokpo, Mina Markovic took the lead in the women's event, followed by Anak Verhoeven of Belgium and Hélène Janicot of France. Reigning World Champion Jain Kim finished in 6th place in the final round.

In the Men's event, Austria's Jakob Schubert took Gold ahead of Slovenia's Domen Skofic and Romain Desgranges of France. World Champion Adam Ondra finished in 9th place just outside of the finals cut-off.

Moving on to Wujiang in China, the top five positions for the women remained the same as for Mokpo, with Markovic, Verhoeven and Janicot taking the top spots ahead of Austria's Magdalena Röck and Katharina Posch. Jain Kim finished a disappointing 10th place, leaving all to play for in Inzai. 

The men's winner came as a surprise as young Stefano Ghisolfi of Italy saw off Ramon Julian Puigblanque of Spain and Romain Desgranges to win his first ever World Cup medal. Ondra finished in 19th place in the semi-final round.

The penultimate round of the Lead World Cup took place in Inzai, Japan, where Jain Kim regained her composure and topped the final route to take Gold. Slovenia completed the podium with Mina Markovic taking Silver and Maja Vidmar taking Bronze - her first podium placing in an international event since 2012. 

For the Men, Adam Ondra also got back into the swing of things by taking the win ahead of Japan's Sachi Amma and Slovenia's Domen Skofic.

The overall standings show that Jain Kim and Jakob Schubert have secured their positions as overall winners for 2014, with one round remaining in Kranj, Slovenia on 15th/16th November.
