Serenata, ~8C, by Mike Adams

© Mike Adams, Screen Shot from video

Mike Adams, one of the unsung heroes of UK bouldering, has made the first ascent of Serenata, ~8C, at Maltby in south Yorkshire.

Serenata climbs the low start into Serenity and ends in Ned Feehally's Serenade extension, i.e ~8B+ into ~7C+, to produce what's possibly the hardest problem on Peak limestone.

As far as I know this is Mike's first of the grade.

No video yet, but here is one of Mike making the FA of Tomahawk, ~8B+, in the same "impossible roof" but further to the right.

Well done Mike. Awesome work. Even more better that there is a video - though it does take away some of the mystery. Folk are going to be in no doubt that it exists and has been done. Excellent. Are any of the other 8Cs on film?

Fantastic picture of THE Mike Adams. The unsung hero of Pleasley Vale and Culm Coast Esoterica.
