Melissa Le Nevé has become the first woman to climb the famous "Big Five" at Cuvier Rempart, Fontainebleau. Five proud classics.

The "Big Five" are:

Big Boss (f7C), 7C
Fourmis Rouge (f7C), 7C
Tristesse (f7C), 7C
Big Golden (f7C+), 7C+
Atrésie (f8A), 8A

It's funny cause it was a real challenge to complete those boulders with a style very different from my strength. The locals told me that it was the ticket to become "une vraie bleausarde" [a true bleausarde] while smiling, so I took the challenge. I feel like now I can try harder stuff here in the forest after having climbed a lot of the classic lines.

So, it's official then: Melissa is the first woman to become a true bleausarde!

Will we see her on the World Cup circuit this year?

[Yes]I want to compete this year. This semi-break I have taken last year gave me a lot of motivation to reach another step!

Sweet! Nice one Mélissa. I'm hoping to tick at least one of those in a few weeks.

Surely there'd have to be at least one hard slab in there to be a true bleausarde?! Good on here by the way, I've love to even do the three 7Cs there, surprised none of the stronger women have done all 5 lines before. I suppose it's a long time to spend in one place if you don't climb them quickly.
