Pete 'Wide Boy' Whittaker has made an impressive onsight ascent of The Complete Scream (E8 6b) at Fair Head in Northern Ireland.
Pete opted to take several sky hooks and some 'office supplies' for his ascent - sticking the hooks down with Gaffa-Tape and Blu-Tack on to the crimps on the otherwise blank wall.
The route, whilst not technically desperate for the E7/8 grade, is very bold, and Pete missed a hidden wire on his ascent. According to several onlookers, Pete made the route look very easy, and was in control the whole time, however the length of the run-outs and the lack of any real gear made the spectators feel a little concerned!
