In this video Romain Desgranges, currently ranked #5 in the World, travels to Joshua Tree to confront his demons by climbing 10 classic highballs.

After many years on the World Cup circuit he has realised that to reach his end goal, becoming the Lead World Champion, he needs to become stronger mentally. To do this, he puts himself in situations where failure is not an option - highballing.

Whether this was a stroke of genius remains to be seen, but since the film was made, Romain has won his first World Cup (Imst) and reached the final of every single WC he has entered.
