This week's Friday Night Video features some stunning ice formations in Kafjord, Norway, climbed by Arc'teryx athlete Luka Lindic.

Filmmaker Cameron Sylvester explained:

"With the limited beta we'd been given, we had set our eyes on a very specific objective. Located beside the Kafjord Suspension bridge lies a huge waterfall that attracts big crowds in the summer months. With the right conditions, it can freeze over in the winter, producing a massive icefall over 120 metres tall, pocketed with multiple ice caverns; potentially epic conditions for ice climbing."

That was a superb video! Beautifully shot, perfectly edited, no hyperbole about it being the hardest line ever/most perfect line ever/etc., no pseudo-religious likening of climbing to some higher calling and a good balance of monologue, music and ambient sounds. This is what more climbing videos should aspire to be like - a celebration of enjoying climbing in a beautiful place without the need to make out that it is something more than that.
