Dave Pegg Tribute - The Width of LifeVideo

© Black Diamond

British ex-pat climber and author Dave Pegg sadly passed away in 2014 (UKC News Report). A new video pays tribute to Dave's passion for climbing and his contributions to the climbing community in Rifle, Colorado, which he made through his numerous new routes established in the area.

Black Diamond ambassador Dan Mirsky reflects on Dave's remarkable achievements despite the brevity of his life, which results in him bolting a new route and naming it 'The Width of Life' in tribute to Dave.

Fond memories of occasionally seeing Dave at the Charlotte Mason climbing wall at Ambleside in the late 80's, a talented climber on bold grit and hard limestone with new routes including Dalliance 8b+, The Yorkshire Ripper 8b, The Bottom Line E7 6c, Mind Bomb E7 6c and MaDMAn E7 6b. A sad loss.

Friend and I were young and impressionable back in the day............... he managed to convince us that he also played bass in Jethro Tull ! We were well impressed, all that and still managed to climb really hard.
