L'avaro, 8c+, by Julia Chanourdie

Last year's Bronze medalist at the Junior Lead World championships, Julia Chanourdie, has repeated Alberto Gnerro's L'avaro, 8c+, at Tetto di Sarre in Italy.

Tetto di Sarre (The Sarre roof) is one of Italy's most iconic and historically significant crags. Situated in the beautiful Aosta valley, overlooking a railway and the heavily trafficked A5 Motorway, it's home to some of the hardest routes in the country. It's also heavily chipped.

At the time of the first ascent, given 8c+/9a, it was considered one of the hardest routes in Italy. Julia's ascent was the first by a female climber.
