Melissa Le Nevé has made the first female ascent of Sébastien Frigault's Mécanique élémentaire, ~8B+, at Recloses, Fontainebleau.
Swoop!! Today I could send my hardest climb on the paper but mostly my hardest challenge in terms of reachy moves and mental side ! After falling a while on the very last move I finally could stand on the top of "Mécanique élémentaire" 8B+. Super happy!
It seems Melissa's leaving the competition scene and focusing on outdoor climbing is really beginning to pay off. By repeating Mecanique elementaire shebecame only the sixth* female climber to climb an ~8B+ or harder boulder problem.
*Tomoko Ogawa, Shauna Coxsey, Alex Puccio(3), Ashima Shiraishi(5), Isabelle Faus(2)
This weekend we'll have a chance to see whether Melissa will be able to tranfer her good outdoor form to indoor climbing at the CWIF.

French climber Mélissa le Nevé has ticked the classic Action Directe 9a in Frankenjura, Germany. This is her first route of the grade and the first female ascent of Wolfgang Güllich's famous line, which he climbed in 1991.
Apparently, Nalle Hukkataival did Jour de Chasse on the same bloc, just minutes before Melissa's ascent of Mécanique Élémentaire. Source: https://www.facebook.com/1631873903492824/
