Rab CWIF 2018 Qualification Results

The Rab Climbing Works International Festival kicked off today with over 200 competitors battling for the 2018 CWIF crown. Serbian World Cup star Stasa Gejo and former British Bouldering Champion Matt Cousins are currently leading the competition after today's qualifying round.

Brits will be well represented in tomorrow's semis, with Michaela Tracy and Emily Phillips taking 2nd and 3rd place today in the women's qualifiers. Leah Crane was not far behind in 5th and Hannah Slaney in 7th. Nathan Phillips and Aidan Roberts qualified in 3rd and 4th place respectively, ahead of Dave Barrans in 9th place. Overall, around 20 Brits appear to have made semis (some nationalities unknown!). Other notable names going through to tomorrow's semis and finals are Jan Hojer, Jernej Kruder, Kokoro Fujii and Chloé Caulier.
