Perspective: Daniel Woods | EP 1Video

Daniel Woods has, at least until very recently, mostly been known for his bouldering skills with ascents as hard as ~8C+ (Hypnotized minds, The Process, Creature of the Black lagoon), as well as many ~8C's. Now he wants to focus more on sport climbing.

Daniel has always climbed though, and already before this year's trip to Spain, he had done some 9a+'s. Now it seems he's getting more serious about it, which has already resulted in a quick repeat of Adam Ondra's La Capella, 9b, at Siurana.

He is non content with this however and has set his sights on Chris Sharma's First round, first minute, 9b, at Margalef. It's a very steep and bouldery route, and like La Capella, rather on the short side, so it should definitely suit him.

Good, nicely produced video. It really shows the difficulty of the moves on La Capella.

From what I've read he's already done First Ley (a 9a+ variant of FRFM) and another 8c+ on that wall. Also he snapped a karabiner when trying FRFM and almost decked.
