Julija Kruder has done the first female ascent of The Weather Man (8a+), 8a+, at Cala Sa Nau Mallorca. Could this be the hardest DWS by a woman?
Regardless, she is super happy about it.
Julija recently finished 3rd, after Matilda Söderlund and Sasha Digiulian, at the Bilbao psicobloc competition, commenting that she was "too slow". Well, there's no time limit on rock, is there?
Meanwhile, brother Jernej, who won the men's category at that same psicobloc competition, has been struggling with less than ideal conditions while working Chris Sharma's Alasha, ~9a+, and putting up new routes like Animal magnetism, 8b+/c, and an extension to Weatherman weighing in around the 8b+ mark.
Unfortunately, Alasha is getting more and more wet. Jernej says he thinks he'd have to go there in the summer to stand a chance as the sun never really hits the wall in the autumn and that it's thus always wet...

Silver for Shauna Coxsey in IFSC Boulder World Cup Moscow
Team GB's Shauna Coxsey managed one step higher on the podium this weekend in Moscow, placing 2nd behind Slovenia's Janja Garnbret. The 26 year-old finished 3rd just one week ago in Meiringen, Switzerland (UKC news report).
The 2018 adidas ROCKSTARS competition is well underway, with semis and finals taking place today in a jam-packed season finale. Here's hoping the athletes have some energy and skin left after the Innsbruck World Championships! Watch LIVE here.
