Chimera Climbing is seeking a dynamic and experienced Centre Manager to join our team in Chatham. As the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our centre located at Maritime Way, St Mary's Island. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

As the Centre Manager, you will have a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our facility, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, and fostering a positive work culture among the staff. You will be responsible for managing a team of dedicated individuals, as well as overseeing the financial aspects of the centre.


- Lead and motivate a team of staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve desired results
- Monitor and manage centre performance to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain customers, reviewing marketing initiatives and customer feedback
- Oversee daily operations, including maintaining a safe and clean environment, scheduling staff shifts, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage financial aspects of the centre, including budgeting, expense control, and revenue generation
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate services and events within the centre
- Act as a point of contact for customers, addressing their concerns and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments, implementing best practices to drive continuous improvement
- Prepare reports and present findings to senior management


- Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in a related industry
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required
