Surrey Sports Park Climbing Centre, Guildford, are looking for enthusiastic, lively and motivated individuals to join the team.

What jobs are on offer?


SSP are currently recruiting enthusiastic individuals to join the team as:

Duty Climbing Instructor – Must hold a minimum of CWA or SPA Training.


We are currently seeking outgoing and friendly individuals to join the team as Duty Instructors at SSP. You will ensure the climbing walls are well used and maintained to a high standard by offering users safe, exciting and challenging routes to climb in a friendly and welcoming environment. You will provide supervision and advice to individual and group climbers as required. You will be responsible for inspiring and motivating customers of all ages, backgrounds and experiences. You must be flexible and available to work weekends and/or afternoons/evenings during the week.

Duty Climbing Instructor - Head Coach – Must hold a minimum of CWA or SPA Training.


We are looking for an individual with a keen interest in coaching climbing at a high level with a specific focus on youth coaching. The right candidate will have experience in coaching children and adults and be motivated to expand our current coaching operations. In addition to specific coaching responsibilities the Head Coach will also act as a Duty Instructor and take charge of various shifts. You must be flexible and available to work weekends and/or afternoons/evenings during the week.

Climbing Centre Assistant – Must be a competent climber.


We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the team as Climbing Centre Assistant. As Climbing Centre Assistant you will work alongside our Program Manager and act as the initial point of contact for any bookings including our growing school group bookings and be responsible for the day to day management of our membership database. This is not an active instructing role but you will be expected to perform bouldering inductions, competency tests and be able to answer any technical questions that customers may ask of you. For the right candidate the role could develop into a "Duty Climbing Instructor" position; training and support will be provided.
