FTE: 0.8-1.0 FTE (32-40 hours per week)

Our vision is to be Hertfordshire's leading facility and service provider for sports, health and fitness. To help us achieve our vision we are looking to recruit an exceptional Climbing Development Officer to enhance our climbing programme.

We are looking for a Climbing Development Officer to be responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and regularly reviewing a comprehensive programme of climbing initiatives which incorporate students, staff and the wider external community. The post holder, in conjunction with Sports Development and other key staff teams within the Sports Village, will be responsible for developing an attractive and inclusive programme of climbing activities which encompass and reflect the Sports Village current vision and strategy.

We are looking for individuals who are personable and self-motivated with a high level of organisational and communication skills. You must be able to use your own initiative, be pro-active, work well under pressure, promote & demonstrate commitment to service excellence, and be able to work as part of a busy and friendly team.

Qualifications required for this role include a Climbing Wall Award (CWA) or Single Pitch Award (SPA) with one year's minimum experience of instructing climbing since achieving their CWA or SPA qualification. Experience of instructing to a variety of age groups and ability levels is also essential.
