We are seeking a meticulous and adaptable Sales Administrator/Representative to manage our purchase orders and invoices. In this role, you will verify customer information, issue invoices, relay order instructions, and complete monthly sales reports. You may also be required to process timesheets.

To ensure success our new Serious Climbing Sales Team Member should have experience in a positive sales environment and have advanced administrative skills.

In addition to our newly appointed National Sales Executive, we're looking for a new member to join the Serious Climbing Sales Team who is results-driven and has excellent interpersonal skills to actively seek out and engage with our extensive client base of the U.K.s best climbing gyms.  As Serious Climbing Distribution continues to grow we are looking to improve on our customer service as we also deal with the extra level of complexities in importing goods that Brexit has achieved, combined with the huge global demand for an increasingly limited supply of quality climbing holds, representing the major climbing hold companies like Cheeta, Flathold, Kilter, 360Holds, Rockcity, Simpl. and also Dreamwall Climbing Walls.

All applicants should have experience in a sales environment and advanced administrative skills.  Knowledge of and or experience of the climbing wall industry and of climbing holds is an advantage.

Our new Serious Climbing Sales Team Member will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer, with regular contact and communication to ensure each climbing gym has access to both larger forward orders supplied direct from the factories or also stock from our new U.K. warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Present, promote and sell our portfolio of the world's best climbing holds and walls to the U.K.s existing climbing gyms and prospective new projects
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Receiving and processing purchase orders.
  • Issuing sales transaction invoices.
  • Verifying orders, including customers' information and payment details.
  • Contacting customers by phone or email to answer queries and obtain missing information.
  • Maintaining and updating sales and customer records.
  • Compiling monthly sales reports.
  • Expediting orders through internal liaison.
  • Directing feedback from customers to relevant departments.
  • Supporting the National Sales Manager and National Sales Executive with other administrative tasks.

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Highly motivated with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling and communication skills
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organisational skills
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Previous experience in sales administration, or a similar role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Our Serious Climbing Sales Team Member will collaborate with our newly appointed National Sales Executive, our Managing Director and our National Sales Administrator, to help deliver the best collection of climbing holds and climbing wall products in the U.K.

The applicant must have good driving history and experience and a full driving license.   The post is available based in Sheffield alongside our National Sales Manager and National Sales Executive.  We are open to discussing flexible working patterns, including part-time and self-employed status.
