Route Setting Development (RSD) Manager Jobs

© Assoc of British Climbing Walls

The ABC is a small but ambitious organisation set to improve the opportunities and experience of the climbing wall industry and everyone that engages with it. Working with our close network of sector partners we aim to raise the profile of indoor climbing in a positive way such that everyone feels welcome to give it a go and proud to be involved.

We're looking for a Route Setting Development (RSD) Manager to take the lead on developing and professionalising the RSD division of the ABC.

Previously the RSA, the RSD has recently been brought under the management of the ABC and we're looking for a passionate, proactive, and professional individual to take it to the next level.

You will be the driving force behind the RSD division of the ABC. This will involve being proactive about the RSD offer as well as looking after members, ensuring training is available for the route setting community and working with ABC management in the planning, co-ordinating, and delivery of services to members.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter, with the confidence and ability to work under their own initiative. They will be ambitious and able to manage the division on a daily basis while looking forward and seeking new ways to improve all elements of the operation.

A good understanding of the industry and of route setting is required.

The role is part time (two days per week, initially) permanent and is remote/home-based with some travel throughout the UK.
