We are new to advertising on so here is a little information about the company.

Ascent Training is a provider of outdoor courses for all abilities.

This includes winter climbing and mountaineering, rock climbing and summer mountaineering, caving and water sports. We are based in the Lake District but, during the winter, run winter climbing and mountaineering courses in Scotland. Once the winter is over, many of the courses operate out of a youth hostel in Coniston which offers an excellent location and the food is fantastic.

We have a great range of equipment here for all activities.

Paul Platt, who directs the company, holds the Mountain Instructor Certificate (MIC) and the Cave Instructor Certificate (CIC) and has been instructing and climbing personally for over 20 years. Paul, and most of the staff he employs, are members of the Association of Mountain Instructors (AMI). All staff employed are fully qualified and very experienced.

Ascent Training have a number of courses advertised on the website on fixed dates, however if these dates do not fit your diary please get in touch and we will endeavour to put on more courses.

The company also holds an AALS license so we are able to work with under 18's - on rock courses or school and youth courses.

Paul Platt also directs Apex Training which delivers ML and SPA courses.

So please take a look at the website and if you have any questions please get in touch.
