The Battle of Britain is an annual competition held at The Depot. It is the biggest competition held at the centre. The Prize fund is a massive £3,000 with first prizes for senior man and woman being £500 cash... each!

The competition:

Entry to the competition is £12 per person which includes entry, a competition t-shirt and a curry afterwards. The Prize fund is a massive £3,000 with first prizes for senior man and woman being £500 cash...each! There will be other great prizes supplied by our sponsors who include: Scarpa, Grivel, Outdoor Research, Metolius, Moon, Black Diamond, DMM, prAna, Evolv, Climb On and Lapis. Music on the night will be from our own DJ Dangerous Dave.

How the competition will run:

The competition is open to all abilities and ages with prizes being dished out across all age groups and spot prizes being given. There will be two rounds: The first round will be a 30 problem qualifier. From this round all categories will be decided apart from Senior Male and Female who will go through to a final round which is Round 2.

Round 1 will run 1-5pm and you can turn up and attempt the problems anytime between these times. Any competition cards not handed in at 5pm will not be counted.

Round 2 (The final) will run 6-7pm.

The age categories for entry will be as follows:

Junior Boys 7-11 years
Junior Boys 12 to 15 years
Senior Male 16 to 39 years
Veteran Male 40+ years

Junior Girls 7-11 years
Junior Girls 12 to 15 years
Senior Female 16 to 39 years
Veteran Female 40+ years
