Allcord are pleased to announce that they will be joining forces with Boreal UK to sponsor their youth climbing team.

Previously the team has solely been sponsored by Boreal UK for their rock shoes but when Rob Marsden of Allcord approached the team, with the opportunity of providing other equipment from their brand portfolio, including ropes from Tendon along with harnesses, helmets and hardware from CAMP, it seemed like the perfect partnership.

Rob said, “We feel it’s important to encourage these young climbers and if we can help give them support to progress in climbing, no matter what disciplines they choose to pursue, it can only help to broaden its appeal with other youngsters who are looking to try an activity outside of the traditional sports”.

Mike Pickwell of Boreal commented: “We’re delighted to have Allcord on-board as co-sponsors of our UK junior team. By joining forces with Allcord, we’ve been able to offer our junior team climbers, a really great portfolio of equipment support, all conveniently provided in one package.”

The team currently consists of Pippa Watkin, Hamish McArthur, Josh Ibbertson, Jack Ibbertson and Sammy Oakes. There is also one vacant place on the team and anyone interested in joining, should contact the team coach, James Ibbertson, via the Boreal UK Facebook page. James is himself no slouch on the rock!
