Moving in this direction for some time now, AKU takes another step forward along the road of sustainability which started with the commitment on raw material traceability of its European suppliers.

AKU is committed to research into lower environmental impact design and production solutions. Even the models in the winter 2016 collection were created fully respecting the environment and are produced in Montebelluna (Italy) and Cluj Napoca (Romania). Designing, developing and manufacturing in Europe permits direct control of the production sources and a shorter supply chain and where over 90% of the raw materials and parts used are sourced locally with 100% traceability. This means a lower environmental impact starting with the transportation of raw materials and finished products.
