Just over a week ago, despite being unable to compete in the final round of the Bouldering World Cup due to a broken leg, British bouldering and lead climbing champion Shauna Coxsey has still come an impressive third place in the overall World Cup. (read more)

In the Paralympic Games Karen Darke won a silver medal in the hand cycling time trial.

35 year old Ako Shillitoe and 19 year old student Lucy Mitchell have both redpointed the classic Gordale Scar sport route of Supercool (8a+). (read more)

Finally, Mina Leslie-Wujastyk redpointed the Raven Tor 8b+ Mecca - The Mid Life Crisis, becoming the first British woman to climb 8b+ in Britain, and the second British women to climb that grade anywhere. (read more)
