NEW mountain gear from Páramo's APEX collection

Men’s Enduro & NEW Women’s Ventura Jacket Our highest spec mountain jacket gets a refresh after consultation with mountain professionals. The Nikwax Analogy fabric not only keeps out the weather, it’s renowned for its ability to move moisture away from you more effectively too, whatever the temperature or humidity, so you stay more comfortable without the danger of post-exercise chilling.

Extensive ventilation options mean fewer changes on the mountain as you can moderate your temperature more effectively. Freedom of movement, helmet and harness-friendly features and technical pocketing complete the package.

Jo Bradshaw, expedition leader & outdoor instructor on the new Ventura:

“I’m very considered about the kit that I take on expeditions with me. It needs to be multi-purpose, which is why I choose Páramo. The Ventura Waterproof Jacket fits the bill perfectly.

I took it to the Pyrenees in early March. The weather forecast was changeable. The beauty of the Ventura is that it’s not only waterproof but windproof and insulated to deal with lower temperatures, and has many venting options so if the mercury starts to rise when you’re on the move you can vent the heat straight out and carry on climbing.

Pockets are very important too. As an Expedition Guide, I like to have kit to hand but not overfill pockets, so prefer a jacket with options. The Ventura certainly has options! Whether working in the UK with maps and compasses or overseas with radios, cameras, gloves and snacks, I have a multitude of well thought-out pockets.

With a feminine shape, the jacket has no excess bulk but still a little freedom for air to circulate.

An all round great jacket that is a firm favourite in my expedition wardrobe.”
