Makes you just want to get out there and ... avoid it!

What was the route like? It's highly recommended by some people, is it worth doing?
LakesWinter - 04/Dec/09
It is indeed worth doing. It is quite long, lots of loose rubble and a good idea to replace the holds onece you have finished with them. Some people like this kind of route, some abhor them. I find myself doing quite a few of them! The Velan hut welcome and cuisine makes up for any shortcomings you may feel apparent.

Thanks for the reply, last question, was the snow arete at the top still snow or has it degenerated into rubble these days?
LakesWinter - 06/Dec/09
It was snow in 2007, see the other photo in my gallery; http://www.ukclimbing.com/images/dbpage.html?id=130217
No idea if it is still snow now!
