Slightly puzzled, I don't recall any abseils on the Midi-Plan?. Nice pic though.

i downclimbed it solo about 15 years ago but i would go for the ab nowadays!

There are one or two absails to decend the Rognon du Plan which brings you down to the Col Superieur du Plan.
You may have down climbed these, we opted to ab the first one and downclimb a fixed rope on the second.
We made another two ab's also down from the rocky summit of Aiguille du Plan down to the Col.
