Absolutely classic, although I think he is smiling a little too much for Scottish winter climbing, not suppose to be fun ;¬)

He was smiling with relief and from memory also muttering something about needing a cigarette......

I can imagine, having now seen the other picture if that’s where he fell from?

he fell from just below the roof with the icicle he jammed his axe behind clearly visible

I saw this one and thought he had slipped down the shallow slope from where he left his crampon. Didn't seem too bad

Erstwhile - you asked what I am up to! Currently I am working way too hard in Saudi Arabia recovering from the debris of a failed marriage and doing almost no climbing! Would love to know what any of you guys are up to! Regards Duncan
