We used an in-situ rope left by the party in front (see previous photo) and it was much appreciated. I can't remember how we had planned to cross the channel otherwise - I guess one of us would have had to swim and no doubt this would have been me ! The year before Mo and I had borrowed a wet suit to swim over to Am Buchaille but we did not have one that day.

I find these old photos b/w or colour really inspiring. Adventure and fun just seems to leap off the page.Thanks for posting.
