A party of French lads were avalanched from below Garadh Gully, some sustaining broken legs but fortunately nothing more serious. We were quite surprised to see a chopper so early in the day before most climbers had started their climb. The depth of the snow made for ardous going and was one reason we were on the ridge. we only found out what was happening when we got down and met somebody who had spoken with the rescue team. I wish them all a speedy recovery.
