During a 10 month long trip to New Zealand alone at age 18 I had far too much time to play with my little camera. This shot was taken in Milford Sound which I frequented through trekking and was lucky enough to work as a Wwoofer in the local hotel for 2 weeks.
Every morning and evening I would set up the tripod for the sunrise/set and wait for the "perfect" shot.
This was probably the best that I could manage and was taken just as a colossal thunderstorm retreated back toward the sea.
"Every morning and evening [for two weeks]." Christ! I bet you got eaten alive? Didn't look even half as good in real life when I was there and it was still stunning. Fantastic shot, good work.
Thanks Everyone, and to answer your question Nicholas, the photo is a HDR shot (the first ive ever done). and was as accurate as i could make it to the scene i viewed on the night
