So did you start from the Monzino?

Did the long approach from Monzino to Eccles the day before. Got to summit and descended to Vallot this day and then all the way down to Les Houche following day. Long old route!

You had a late start then...! When I did it, everyone was climbing directly to col Eccles and not via Pic Eccles. Were others going your way?

One party went to the glacier and climbed up to the col. The other party followed us I believe. The snow was pretty deep and we had to break trail for the whole route so we thought it best to stay high ... plus it was pretty cool climbing :-)
