I think the chair belonged to Dave. I got a lift from Bregaglia in the van , only room for one so Andy Parkin and I tossed for the lift and I won. Andy went down to the main road to hitch , when we passed him about two hours later he was on the wrong side of the road heading in the wrong direction , I think it was about two days before he turned up with the tent.

I was there that summer, as were the US duo of Rick Accomozzo and Mike Graham, RA posts up some retrospectives on Supertopo that can stir some memories.
Were you there when the feild was claered by the cops?
