This is the Col du Geant, the Torino hut is just over the top. I think the snow slope would be the NE side of the Pnte Helbronner - the telepherique station is on the top. The photo was taken on the way up to the Tour Ronde described on my internet site - a somewhat chaotic attempt, our first outing in the Alps (setting off late from the Requin hut) but one which was most instructive.
