We set off in very dubious conditions and had not even seen the face when we started on it. Found ourselves raoidly commited with intricate passages through the seracs. Fast ascent, hut to summit 3am-7.30am, my first proper Alpine route with Martin. .

Smart, nearly a smooth slope in early 90s, just a bit of weaving to do.
