Nice! Was just reading Andy Cave's account of the first ascent. Were conditions similar when you climbed it?

I can't recall Andy C's account, was it in one of his books (I have read one of them!)? Beautiful day, with a bit of spindrift about. Its a great varied and atmospheric route that normally sees an accent per winter season, give or take. Highly recommended (and much better than the more famous Der Riserwand by all accounts).

He writes about it in Thin White Line. The ice on the lower bit was fairly thin that day. It really is a compelling line! One for the wishlist.
