You know that this has been proved not to be Window Gully? Window Gully is K9 Direct. This route was climbed by me in February 1984 with much more ice than this (I thought it was Window Gully) but don't know if I was first.

Thanks Andy, I did read the post on Scottishwinter.com but couldn't remember which route my photo was of so tagged it as Window Gully.

James, it is Window Gully in the guidebook, and if you'd asked me when you originally took the picture, I'd have said Window Gully. The fact that it isn't only was revealed recently, so no criticism of you, only a point of interest.

No worries Andy I only took it as a point of interest. I've come across a few people in the last couple of months who have been a bit confused about where other routes on the crag are too, it seems to be a bit of a hotspot for that!

Did you ever get the name of this route? We did it on Friday and it's in great nic. The ice pillars are well formed and steep.
