What are those screw type things in the ice? Did you put them there? Do they damage the ice much? Aren't you scared of the ice falling?

Are those bolts fixed all year round? And if so do they stick out really far when it's not frozen (does that ever happen?)? Also, my name is David. I want to climb winter routes.
