Thanks for the kind comments...I will have a look through Jamie, but i think this moment..(lasted all of 5 minutes before cloud covered the view again),probably topped both sunrise and sunset..am a fan of your paintings btw..great stuff

As everyones said cracking shot, 5*. What photography's all about, right place at the right time and making the effort to get there. A shame the left pinnacle is chopped off slightly but you'd have needed a bit of stitching and Photoshop trickery to get it all in without spoiling the composition of the rest of the image. Congrats on a cracker.

Thanks everyone, nice to get POTW for this.I do have a couple of panoramic shots with the full pinnacle aswell (i will post up sometime) but this was my favourite single shot.Scrambling to set up the camera and tripod whilst half asleep in the middle of the night before the moment was gone and then sitting watching the mist swirling around waiting for the sunrise to break through was indeed what its all about James.

One of the best Scottish mountain shots I've seen in a long time. Spent 24 hours in more or less the same place for sunset, moonrise and sunrise shots 4 years ago and was pleased with the results, however the resulting shots were nothing compared to this!

Look that is just a f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s shot, worth about 10

Thanks Al,its such a fantastic place to be.

I prefer the other image Craig as the Inn Pin looks over-processed on here. Obviously it is a later exposure, but that cloud spilling over into Coire Lagan is lovely. Right place & time!

Thanks Abseil, and Sean.I like seeing the detail of the rocks so quite like the way it look on the pinn. The camera is pretty dynamic so can pull out stuff out even in the dark.I was sitting thinking of Tom Pateys great story of climbing it on the winter traverse
