...... zipwire! Obvious really when you consider how degraded the landscape already is - all those non-native trees by a reservoir tucked between sheep-scoured hillsides. What impact can a few thin wires have?

Obviously the landscape needs to be degraded further to satisfy the requirements of the 'thrill-seekers'. Carparks along the quiet western road round the lake will be needed along with road widening, cafes and shuttles to take the punters back to the wires. And this is only the start. Having set a precedence, we can look forward to developments over other 'spoiled' Lakeland landscapes.
