Another snatched route in dubious conditions. The route joins the Diagonal, Schuster Crack, at the top.

Great photo John. McVities chocolate digestives - luxury!

Good heavens, Steve, well spotted. It took me a while to see it.

A wonderful photo - and the chocolate digestive is nicely positioned.

Wow they must have traveled a lot that summer as I met them at the Vajolet hut in the summer of 66 after they had climbed the Steger route.

Hi Mike. My diary shows that was 12 August 1967. Ron and I had done the Buhlweg, and I'd done the Steger in 1965 so I took an American up the Dibons on the Roda di Vael while Ron went round with Babara to do the Steger.

Geez, tweed breeches, wooly jumpers, canvas gaiters and maybe Galibier boots, it's so of the time. Fantastic. Not sure if the biscuit is McVities though?

Are you sure they are tweed, and not moleskin? I really want to know because I used moleskins for quite a while after my Lauries.

Barbara's, and maybe Ron's, look like moleskin. Not sure about yours. They look more woolly.

Ron always did and still does like choc digestives.
