Simon, yes indeed, rather lacking in the white stuff for a current ski descent. Later in the season that pinnacle, which must currently project 4m or more into the gully, disappears completely

Brilliant, just brilliant! Looks like the snow at the top of the gully about to disintegrate ala LOTR films and the climber is going to be left on a slender pinnacle.
